Rotary closures for bottles and containers must either be screwed completely on or off or caps have to be pivoted up and down. In this case, there is no possibility of regulating an even outflow quantity. The new rotary closure brings about total opening or closing of the outlet aperture by means of a limited rotation as well as partial opening as desired to regulate the outlet quantity. This is brought about by means of radial displacement of two apertures (7 and 13) relative to one another by rotating the closure sleeve (10). By means of the shaping (11) and an edge (12), the closure sleeve (10) is braced in a sliding manner against a bead (6) of an insertion or threaded sleeve (1). At the same time, together with a sealing ring (9) in interaction with round cutouts (8 and 14), the bracing brings about an elastic seal. Stops which are present bound the respective end positions. The rotary closure is either pressed into bottles (5) with a shank (4) or screwed onto bottles or containers (3) by means of a thread (2).
