<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect difference in size between a recording medium designated by a user and a recording material conveyed for image formation. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 85 derives a transfer current (transfer current to be required in transferring a toner image on an intermediate transfer belt 9 onto a recording material) corresponding to recording material information set by a user, to derive the magnitude of a transfer voltage to be applied to a secondary transfer roller 10, and determines, when the derived transfer voltage is applied to the secondary transfer roller 10 by a transfer bias circuit 80b, and the current detected by a current detection circuit 81b exceeds a threshold set in accordance with the recording material information set by the user, that the recording material is different in size from that set by the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
