This rolling bearing retainer (RT) which is formed by insert molding a resinous material together with a core member (1) within a mold, in which the core member (1) is embedded within a resin part (2) made of the resinous material and there is provided a support area exposure part (16) at a plurality of locations of the resin part (2) for exposing a support area (6) of the core member (1) supported within a cavity of the mold. The resin part (2) includes a ring shaped body (23) and a plurality of support column bodies (24) extending axially from the ring shaped body (23) and defining a pocket (Pt) for retaining a rolling element therebetween, and the core member (1) is provided with a ring shaped body embedded part (3a) and a plurality of support column body embedded parts (3b) extending from the ring shaped body embedded part (3a).
