<p>Castable composition comprises: 100-200 pts. wt. a resin mixture, 100-200 pts. wt. water component, 80-700 pts. wt. metal particles, and 1-15 pts. wt. radical initiator. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing a porous, resin-bonded molding, comprising stirring the composition to emulsion, pouring the emulsion into a mold, pre-curing it to form a cast part, removing the pre-cured casting from the mold and heating to about 100[deg] C for at least 1 hour, where the resin cures to a mixture and water is removed during the curing, such that a porous resin-bonded molding is filled with metal particles; and (2) a porous, resin-bonded molding filled with metal particles, having an average pore diameter of 0.1-10 mm.</p> |
