PURPOSE:To produce an inorg. building material having high strength and a good surface state, in a method for producing the inorg. building material by sucking and dehydrating a cement slurry compounded with a fine silica powder to cure the same, by adding a flocculant to the slurry before sucking, dehydrating and curing the slurry. CONSTITUTION:In a method for producing an inorg. building material by sucking and dehydrating a cement slurry 7 compounded with a fine silica powder to cure the same, the slurry 7 is supplied to a molding belt 1 from a hopper-shaped slurry supply device 8 and a flocculant 10 (e.g; anionic or nonionic polyacrylamide type polymeric flocculant) is scattered over the slurry 7 from a flocculant supply device 9. The slurry 7 on the molding belt 1 is dehydrated while pressed by a press roll 11. As a result, the inorg. building material having a good surface state and high strength can be produced without lowering productivity. |
