A seatbelt height adjuster 54 mounted slidably on guide rail 30 with a positioning mechanism 32, an actuator 60, and biasing means 68, arranged such that the biasing means 68 applies a distributed restoring force across the transverse region of the actuator 60. The biasing means 68 may be a spring member 94 made up of multiple spring elements that are arranged in a zigzag pattern to form a lattice or honeycomb of compressible cells. The spring elements are arranged to act through a common spring abutment (102, Fig. 6a), resulting in a distributed restoring force that prevents the rotation of the actuator when in use. |
