A piston body for an air compressor includes a head which defines an air receiving space indented into the top surface of the head, wherein the air receiving space is bounded by a bottom surface and a surrounding surface and having a top opening at the top surface of the head. In operation, the air pressure of the compressed air produced from reciprocating motion of the piston body can keep less than a safety pressure set for an object to be inflated, without using a mechanical safety valve. Therefore, the operational safety can be increased, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced. |
