Brake booster and method of manufacturing the same

The booster (1) has a support sleeve (190) supported on an opening (106) of a bottom (105) of a front shell (102) on a side of a tandem master cylinder and supporting an end (182) of a return spring (180) whose other end (181) supports a head (171) of a push rod (170) against a reaction disc (163) carried by a cylinder hub (160). The sleeve has a diameter less than that of the opening. A cylindrical wall of the sleeve has shoulders engaged via the opening and supported against the opening by deployment of the shoulders to form retractable stops after passing the shoulders via the opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a vacuum-operated brake booster.
