PURPOSE:To obtain a coating compsn. capable of forming a coating film excellent in high-temp. and high-moisture resistance, toughness, coatability, evenness, uniformity of refractive index by blending a siloxane polymer with a specific metal alkoxide and/or a metal chelate compd. derived from the metal alkoxide. CONSTITUTION:A silioxane polymer obtd. by hydrolysis and RxSi(OR')4-x(wherein R and R' are each H, alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, or a substd. deriv. thereof; and x is an integer of 0 to 3) is blended with a metal alkoxide of the formula: MOOR'')m (wherein M is titanium, zirconium, or aluminum; R'' is H, alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, or a substd. deriv. thereof; and m is the valence of the metal atom M) and/or a metal chelate compd. derived from the metal alkoxide. The mixing proportion is such that 100 pts.wt. siloxane polymer is blended with 0.1-20 pts.wt. metal alkoxide and/or metal chelate compd. |
