The present invention relates to a hood device for a vehicle, which mitigates injuries to pedestrians by popping up a hood during collision with a preceding vehicle, comprising: a striker installed on the lower surface of the front of a hood panel, having a fixing part, which is bent after extending from the hood, formed thereon, and having a position fixing groove formed on the fixing part; and a hood latch installed on a base, which is installed and fixed to a vehicle body and includes a insertion groove for inserting the striker, to be able to rotate, having a hook part extending to envelop and restrict the striker inserted into the insertion groove, and including a stopper, which moves elastically, at the extending end part of the hook part to insert the stopper into the position fixing groove as the hood moves while popping up. Accordingly, disclosed is a hood device for a vehicle which prevents a hood popping up during collision in front from popping up excessively and can tune the popping-up amount of the hood to a desired position. |
