<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal aligning agent which is excellent in coatability (printability) and maintains high quality display even after long hours of driving. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid crystal aligning agent containing a polyamic acid obtained by reacting tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride with diamine and a polymer obtained by dehydration cyclization of the polyamic acid, where the tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride contains bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and the existence ratio of an isomer represented by the following formula (1) in the bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride is 70 mol% or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
