<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve circumferential direction strength for being arranged inside a blood vassel by stretching a bridge and turning it to an almost straight shape when a cell expands and making the straight bridge form a circular arc around an expanded cylindrical stent. SOLUTION: A typical metallic balloon expandable stent 50 is provided with many expandable cells 60 and the expandable cells 60 are arranged on the circumference of the cylindrical stent 50. Then, the cells 60 are arranged on the circumference so as to make the stent 50 at the time of a non-expanded state be provided with an almost cylindrical structure, the expandable cells 60 are provided with at least one bridge part 55 in at least one of the cells 60 arranged on the circumference and the bridge part 55 is arranged in the state of being folded inside the stent 50 first. Then, when the cells 60 expand, the bridge part 55 is stretched and turned to the almost straight shape and the straight bridge part 55 forms the circular arc around the expanded cylindrical stent 50.</p> |
