PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simple seedling-growing box with no reduction in moisture or deterioration of the culture medium, excellent in operability by placing cell trays having the solid culture medium inserted through nonwoven fabric on the seedling platform in the seedling-growing box, inserting seeds into the hole bored in the solid culture medium and covering with the cell tray cover. SOLUTION: Cell trays 1 are filled with a solid culture medium 6 made of a foamed phenolic resin having a continuous open cell structure, and placed through nonwoven fabric 4 on the seedling platform 3 in the seedling-growing box. Seeds and a slow-acting fertilizer are inserted in the holes bored on the solid medium 6 and covered with a cell tray cover 5. |
