<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce number of parts for the frame member and also reduce the assembling steps by forming, as an integrated molding, a center frame consisting of an external circumference frame and an internal separation wall and using the internal separation wall as a driving mechanism supporting chassis. SOLUTION: A center frame 10 is formed of an external circumference frame 11 and an internal separation wall 19 and the internal separation wall 19 is used as the driving mechanism supporting chassis. A first intermediate gear 98 may be displaced in the axial direction and is engaged with a supply reel drive gear at a first position during the recording and reproducing operation and with a takeup reel drive gear at a second position during the rewind operation. Moreover, another bearing formed of the resin which is different from that forming the center frame 10 and having good sliding property is mounted to the driving mechanism supporting chassis and a capstan is supported by this bearing.</p> |
