The invention relates to a rock drilling rig and method of drilling. The rock drilling rig (1) comprises a main hydraulic power pack (MHPP) and several hydraulic actuators connected to the hydraulic system. The rig further comprises an auxiliary hydraulic power pack (APP), which comprises a dedicated electrical power device (20) and a hydraulic pump (19) rotated by the power device. The auxiliary power pack in independently operable and may be arranged to produce hydraulic power for particular hydraulic actuators. |
