PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of an air bubble causing lowered withstand pressure and bleaching of a translucent conductive film and enhance display reliability regarding a plane discharge type AC driven plasma display panel. SOLUTION: This panel includes a plurality of line electrode pairs extending horizontally and a dielectric layer covering the line electrode pairs with respect to a discharge space on an inner face of a substrate on a display face side in a pair of substrates opposed via a discharge space, including a plurality of column electrodes opposed to the line electrode pairs, extending vertically, and forming a unit luminous area at each crossing part with the line electrode pairs, and has a main body in which at least one line electrode of the line electrode pair extends horizontally and a protrusion part protruding vertically from the main body part every unit luminous area. In this case, the protrusion part includes a metal film, and a discharge gap between the metal film and a translucent conductive film are electrically connected to an opposite rim part. |
