PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various functions including shading/heat insulation and maintenance to a building. SOLUTION: A functional space 1 for controlling an indoor environment in a building or maintaining the building is monolithically formed in the outside of an external wall 2 of the building. The functional space 1 is constituted of brackets 4 fixed to a skeleton 3 of the building and projected to the outside of the building, post joints 5 fixed to the front ends of the brackets 4 and a post 6 built between the post joints 5 and 5 adjacent to up and down and connected to the post joints 5.
