Photovoltaic facility with a device to decrease the potential

The system (1) has photovoltaic modules (3) electrically connected to a string (5), such that a photovoltaic generator (6) is formed. A string end (7) of the generator forms a negative pole, and another string end (9) of the generator forms a positive pole. A voltage reducing device (23) i.e. voltage source, reduces the potential of the negative pole to ground (13). The ends are connected to a potential-free inverter. Circuit-breakers (31, 31A) disconnect the reducing device from the system when current detected between the generator and ground potential lies above preset current limit value.
