PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a electrodeless lamp with a low light-emitting start voltage and having proper light-emitting efficiency. SOLUTION: This lamp comprises a lamp container 4 in which a lightemitting substance is sealed, a microwave generator 1 for generating microwaves, a wave guide 2 for introducing the microwaves into the lamp container or a stripe line, and a coil, and in a electrodeless lamp for causing the gas in the lamp container 4 to be a plasma and emitting light, magnetic field generating means 6 for generating magnetic force inside of the lamp container 4 is disposed in the vicinity of the lamp container 4. |
