PURPOSE:To uniformize the pressing force of an elastic blade against a developing sleeve as well as to keep off any imaging unevenness or fogging, in a developing unit available for a copying machine and a printer or the like using the elastic blade. CONSTITUTION:An edge part 16 of a blade support part 15 supporting an elastic blade 8 is projected out of a blade contact surface 17 of the blade support part 15, and horizontal force f0 is added to the elastic blade 8 at the edge part 16, thereby making the elastic blade 8 so as to be firmly supportable on the support part 15. With this constitution, the extent of contact force of the elastic blade to a developing sleeve 1 becomes uniformized, and toner grains on the developing sleeve 1 are stably charged thereon, thus a toner layer to be stuck onto the developing sleeve 1 is uniformized. |
