TRANSMISSION AND TRANSMISSION MANAGEMENT UTILIZING METHOD FOR VIDEO SIGNAL AND ITS MANAGEMENT DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send a video signal and its management data obtained at a 1st position to a 2nd position through one transmission system without causing a loss of contents of the management data especially and to manage and effectively use the sent video signal at the 2nd position by using the sent management data. SOLUTION: A management data frame is added in succession to a final frame of a video signal at a 1st position P1 , the video signal with the management data frame added thereto is compression-coded, the compression-coded signal is sent from the 1st position P1 to the 2nd position P2 as the compression- coded video signal, the sent compression-coded video signal is decoded by the 2nd position P2 , the decoded video signal of the decoded signal is managed by using the decoded management data of the decoded signal and the decoded video signal is used.
