The present invention relates to a mobile terminal with a scroll function and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal according to the present invention includes: a display unit which outputs at least one area from the whole areas of a page; and a control unit which displays a scroll thumb, formed to perform the scroll function, on one point of the display unit, overlaps a scroll bar with the scroll thumb to correspond to at least one direction from a longitudinal direction and a width direction of the display unit, if touch is applied to the scroll thumb in a predetermined manner, and outputs the scroll bar and the scroll thumb. The point can be varied based on at least one from a location and the size of the area displayed in the display unit. |
