1. A medical apparatus to support an endoscopic intervention, comprising:
a housing with a base surface, a top surface, a front surface and a rear surface, the base surface, top surface, front surface, and rear surface defining an enclosed area, the front surface having a surface area greater than a surface area of the base surface; a light source positioned in the housing, the light source generating light to illuminate an object that is to be investigated with an endoscope; a coupling device coupling a proximal end of the endoscope to the medical apparatus and transmitting light from the medical apparatus to the endoscope; a screen integrated in the front surface of the housing, the screen displaying an image captured by the endoscope; where the front surface and rear surface are each fixed in position relative to the base surface and are each inclined toward a rear of the housing by an angle between 5 and 15 degrees with respect to a plane perpendicular to the base surface; wherein a height of the housing from the base surface and a width of the housing are each greater than depth of the housing, the depth being a distance between the rear surface and the front surface along the base surface, and the width being a distance between sides surface of the housing. |
