PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily quote the contents of a received mail to its reply mail by storing the character data, i.e., a part of the received mail text as the regular sentences together with the additional information. SOLUTION: A mail device 1 transmits and receives a mail including its destination and text to and from its transmission destination. The mail transmitted from a communication control part 8 or the character strings included in the text of the received mail are stored in a RAM 5 together with the mail transmission destination information. The characters having the mail information coincident with the mail transmission destination information are read out of the RAM 5 and shown in a list at a display part 4 when the mail is produced. Then the desired character strings are selected among those shown in a list by means of an action control key 32 and inputted to the text of the relevant mail. |
