The present invention relates to a synchronizer ring (10) for a synchronizer unit (12) of a transmission gearbox (14), which has a ring axis (A) and is made of a ring-shaped galvanized steel-cone (16) having a certain galvanized steel thickness (t). Here, the ring-shaped galvanized steel-cone (16) comprises: a radial external wall in the shape of a cone; and, a radial internal wall facing the external wall and having a cone-shaped frictional surface (18). As well, here, the galvanized steel-cone (16) comprises a centering-flange (20) moulded on the radial external wall to achieve a radial centering of the synchronizer ring (10) around a synchronizer hub (22) of the synchronizer unit (12). In addition, here, the galvanized steel-cone (16) comprises: a first galvanized steel section (24) which is transformed within the centering-flange (20) area and has a remaining thickness (tR) which is smaller than the galvanized steel thickness (t); and, a second galvanized steel section (26) having a flange thickness (tB) which is at least the same as the galvanized steel thickness (t). The remaining thickness (tR) of the galvanized steel-cone (16) is generally the same in the first galvanized steel section (24). Further, the present invention includes the process for producing the synchronizer ring (10). |
