PURPOSE:To display the received electric field level and the residual capacity of battery compactly in an easy-to-see state at the display part of a mobile station. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with the liquid crystal display part 9 having a battery mark 21 displaying the residual capacity of a battery, an electric field mark 22 displaying the received electric field level, and a common- use level mark 23 for displaying those levels and a control means which switches these displays. For a specific time, for example, only at the start of a communication, the battery residual capacity is displayed and in other cases, the received electric field level is displayed. The common-use level mark 23 changes in the order of a three-bar display, a two-bar display, and a one-bar display in the decreasing order of the level. Consequently, the space of the display part can be saved, and either one is switched and displayed to make the display easy to see.
