METHOD FOR SEARCHING MUTANT GENE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rapidly specifying a mutant gene in a mutant animal whose mutant gene is not specified. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of (i) extracting mRNA from a cell or tissue of a control animal and from the same tissue or cell of an animal (mutant animal) exhibiting a specific phenotype that is not exhibited by the control animal as a result of mutation to prepare cRNA or cDNA using the mRNA as the starting material, and (ii) identifying a gene having remarkable deviation in the expression when the mutant animal and the control animal are compared with each other.
