1. An organic electroluminescence device which emits blue fluoresence, comprising:
a cathode; an anode; and an organic thin film layer interposed between the cathode and the anode; wherein: the organic thin film layer comprises at least one layer comprising at least one light emitting layer; the light emitting layer comprises: (A) at least one fused ring-containing compound represented by formula (3′a):wherein
Ar1a and Ar2a each independently represent a group derived from a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring having 6 to 20 ring carbon atoms, the aromatic ring is substituted by at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of a 1-naphthyl group, a 2-naphthyl group, a 9-phenanthryl group, a 1-naphthacenyl group, a 2-naphthacenyl group, a 9-naphthacenyl group, a 1-pyrenyl group, a 2-pyrenyl group, a 4-pyrenyl group, a 2-biphenylyl group, a 3-biphenylyl group, a 4-biphenylyl group, an o-tolyl group, an m-tolyl group, a p-tolyl group, and a p-t-butylphenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 3 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 6 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxycarbonyl group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a carboxyl group, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, or a hydroxy group, and, when the aromatic ring is substituted by two or more substituents, the substituents may be identical to or different from each other; and adjacent substituents may be bonded to each other to form a saturated or unsaturated cyclic structure provided that Ar1a and Ar2a are different from each other in structure; and R1a to R8a are each independently selected from a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 50 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 3 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 6 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxycarbonyl group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a carboxyl group, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, or a hydroxy group; and (B) 0.01 to 20 wt % of at least one compound selected from group represented by formula (1b):wherein
X1-X3, X5-X6, X9-X10 and X12 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkoxy group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkylthio group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyloxy group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenylthio group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyloxy group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkylthio group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group having 5 to 20 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a cyano group, a silyl group, a hydroxy group, a —COOR1e group where R1e represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, a —COR2e group where R2e represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or an amino group, or a —OCOR3e group where R3e represents a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms; X7 and X8 each independently represent a hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; provided that: the substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms is not represented by formula (1 b); and wherein X4 and X11 each independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group having 5 to 20 carbon atoms and a case where both X4 and X11 represent hydrogen atoms is excluded; and wherein adjacent X1 to X12 groups are not bonded to each other to form a substituted or unsubstituted carbon ring, and wherein X7 and X8 are not represented by a monovalent group derived from a compound having a structure represented by formula (1a): wherein X1 to X10 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkoxy group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkylthio group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyloxy group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenylthio group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyloxy group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkylthio group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a cyano group, a silyl group, a hydroxy group, a —COOR1e group where R1e represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, a —COR2e group where R2e represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or an amino group, or a —OCOR3e group where R3e represents a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, branched, or cyclic alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, and adjacent groups or substituents of groups out of X1 to X16 may be bonded to each other to form a substituted or unsubstituted carbon ring. |
