摘要 Provided is an organic electroluminescence device having a long lifetime and capable of emitting blue light with high luminous efficiency. The organic electroluminescence device has an organic thin film layer composed of one or multiple layers including at least a light emitting layer and interposed between a cathode and an anode. In the organic electroluminescence device, the light emitting layer contains at least one kind selected from compounds each having a specific fluoranthene structure and at least one kind selected from fused ring-containing compounds each having a specific structure.

An organic electroluminescence device which emits blue fluoresence, comprising: a cathode; an anode; and an organic thin film layer interposed between the cathode and the anode; wherein: the organic thin film layer comprises at least one layer comprising at least one light emitting layer; the light emitting layer comprises: (A) at least one fused ring-containing compound represented by formula (3′a):wherein Ar1a and Ar2a each independently represent a group derived from a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring having 6 to 20 ring carbon atoms, the aromatic ring is substituted by at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of a 1-naphthyl group, a 2-naphthyl group, a 9-phenanthryl group, a 1-naphthacenyl group, a 2-naphthacenyl group, a 9-naphthacenyl group, a 1-pyrenyl group, a 2-pyrenyl group, a 4-pyrenyl group, a 2-biphenylyl group, a 3-biphenylyl group, a 4-biphenylyl group, an o-tolyl group, an m-tolyl group, a p-tolyl group, and a p-t-butylphenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 3 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 6 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxycarbonyl group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a carboxyl group, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, or a hydroxy group, and, when the aromatic ring is substituted by two or more substituents, the substituents may be identical to or different from each other; and adjacent substituents may be bonded to each other to form a saturated or unsaturated cyclic structure provided that Ar1a and Ar2a are different from each other in structure; and R1a to R8a are each independently selected from a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 50 ring carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 3 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 6 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxycarbonyl group having 1 to 50 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a carboxyl group, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, or a hydroxy group; X7 and X8 each independently represent a hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; provided that: the substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms is not represented by formula (1 b); and wherein X4 and X11 each independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group having 5 to 20 carbon atoms and a case where both X4 and X11 represent hydrogen atoms is excluded;
