Disclosed is an image forming apparatus capable of connecting to an electronic device. The image forming apparatus comprises: a speaker; a storage unit for storing connection information necessary to wirelessly connect to an electronic device; a control unit for controlling the speaker to output a sound corresponding to the connection information, in the case of a predetermined condition; a wireless communications unit for Wi-Fi direct connecting to the electronic device transmitting a wireless connection request, when the wireless connection request according to the connection information is received; and a print unit for printing printed data received through the formed wireless connection link.
