The present invention relates to an active composition for anti-cancer cell extinction containing an Anthriscus sylvestris Hoffmann extract. MTT assay, DNA fragmentation, western blot and LIVE-DEAD cell staining after treating a methanol extract of Anthriscus sylvestris Hoffmann in oral cancer cells (KB cell line) are performed in order to investigate an effect of the Anthriscus sylvestris Hoffmann methanol composition of the present invention on the oral cancer cells, and find out an effect of growth inhibition, and a molecular mechanism of cancer cell growth inhibition and apoptosis and, consequently, the composition of the present invention has an effect capable of separating single or composite ingredients having anticancer activity in the oral cancer cells.
