PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a cost increase and improve a recording/reproducing quality.SOLUTION: An optical pickup device comprises: a light source emitting a laser beam; an object lens condensing the laser beam onto a recording surface of an optical disk; and a plurality of optical components provided for forming an optical path between the light source and the object lens. Any of the plurality of optical components includes a correction film that changes, by correcting a light volume of the laser beam, an RIM intensity of the laser beam entering the object lens to a first intensity determined according to a thickness of a cover layer of the optical disk for covering the recording surface and transmitting the beam therethrough or larger and to a second predetermined intensity smaller than a maximum value of the RIM intensity or smaller. |
