PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an abnormal state (short-circuit failure and open-circuit failure) in a power drive circuit for driving a light-emitting element by a DC dimming system and an illumination apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: The power drive circuit and the illumination apparatus including the same, includes: an overvoltage detection section for detecting an overvoltage on the basis of a voltage value at the other end of a light source and a first comparison voltage value on the basis of a reference voltage; and an undervoltage detection part for detecting an undervoltage on the basis of the voltage value at the other end of the light source and a second comparison voltage value on the basis of the reference voltage. |
