PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration type gyroscope enhancing detection sensitivity and circuit gain, detecting fine phase change and highly precisely finding an angular speed on the basis of a Coriolis force component. SOLUTION: A comparative signal is generated by passing the output of detection electrodes 5a, 5b provided on a vibration body 1 to an adder 11, a 90-degree transfer phase circuit 12 and a waveform reshaping circuit 13. In phase difference detection circuits A, B, phase differences between the output of the detection electrode 5a and the comparative signal and between the output of the detection electrode 5b and the comparative signal are detected respectively, and the absolute values of both the phase differences are added by a differential amplifier 17. The output of the differential amplifier 17 is made the detection output of the gyroscope through an amplifier 18 and a low pass filter 19. The angular speed can be detected in higher sensitivity than the conventional because the vibration component of Coriolis force is found from the phase difference. |
