PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device which achieves downsizing and weight reduction.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device 100 includes: a steering column 23; a steering shaft 22 disposed at the inner side of the steering column 23; an electric assist device 25 including an electric motor 31, a speed reducer 32, and a housing 35; a tilt mechanism 33 including a support mechanism 37 which supports the housing 35 so that the housing 35 may rotate around a tilt axis BX and a fixing mechanism 38 capable of fixing the steering column 23 to a tilt position; and an impact absorption mechanism 34 including an impact absorption member 41. The fixing mechanism 38 includes: a connection plate part 40C which is connected with a vehicle body through the impact absorption member 41; a first side plate part 40A and a second side plate part 40B; and a bridge part 40D which connects both side plate parts with each other. |
