PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a technique for measuring a state of a gear transmission device.SOLUTION: A use degree measuring device 10 measures a use degree of a gear transmission device (a gear transmission mechanism 4). The use degree measuring device 10 includes a vibration cycle measuring section 16 and a comparison section 18. The vibration cycle measuring section 16 measures a vibration cycle of a state signal indicating at least either of a rotational state of an input part side and a rotational state of an output part side of the gear transmission device. The comparison section 18 compares a first vibration cycle measured during an initial operation period of the gear transmission device with a second vibration cycle measured after operating the gear transmission device for a prescribed operation time. The vibration cycle measuring section 16 measures the first vibration cycle and the second vibration cycle of a state signal after stopping drive of the gear transmission device.
