PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose operation of a circuit in a signal processing system in real time without giving inconvenience to a user.SOLUTION: In a video signal processor 1, a combination position of a test pattern is determined in a portion of a display region for RGB signals, and data in the display region for the RGB signals are modulated with the test pattern (by applying processing of a dither pattern or an electronic watermark) at such a degree that the data cannot be discriminated even if the user watches the display region, thereby combining the test pattern with the RGB signals. The presence/absence of a change in the test pattern before and after passing a circuit 2 in the signal processing system is determined, and the operation of the circuit 2 in the signal processing system is diagnosed. |
