PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily certify an access point while suppressing the cost.SOLUTION: An access point certification system certifies whether or not an access point with which a communication device operated by a user is to be connected is an authorized access point. A communication device comprises: a random number generation unit for generating a random number to be used for certifying an access point; a communication unit for transmitting the generated random number to an access point with which the communication device is to be connected, and receiving a random number on which predetermined processing has been performed from the access point; and a determination unit for determining whether or not the access point is an authorized access point on the basis of the generated random number and the received random number. An access point comprises: a processing unit for performing predetermined processing on a received random number; and a communication unit for receiving a random number from a communication device and transmits the random number on which predetermined processing has been performed to the communication device.
