PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for pedestrian protection.SOLUTION: An air bag device comprises: a collision detection sensor 10 disposed on a vehicle; an air bag 11 stored in a storage part 105 disposed on an inside surface of a bonnet 120 of the vehicle; drive means 14 disposed in a front body 100 of the vehicle, and driving the air bag in response to reception of a signal from the collision detection sensor; lock means disposed in the front body of the vehicle, and locking and releasing a lock of the bonnet in response to reception of the signal from the collision detection sensor; and opening means 180 disposed in the front body of the vehicle, and opening the bonnet after releasing a lock of the bonnet in response to reception of the signal from the collision detection sensor. The air bag is expanded to the outside (upper direction) from the storage part of the opened bonnet during the driving time, and receives a pedestrian at the inside of the bonnet. |
