PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve appropriateness of an emphasis degree in comparison with the case where only a basic feature amount is used, when emphasizing a specific component that may affect an image quality of an image.SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus 10, a region coagulation degree calculation section 11 calculates a spatial coagulation degree of a dark region in a luminance image, and a reproduction parameter determination section 14 determines a reproduction parameter indicating the emphasis degree of the specific component that may affect the image quality of the image, so as to be large or small as the spatial coagulation degree of the dark region is high. A visibility reproduction section 15 generates a luminance reproduction image which is reproduced in such a manner that the specific component of the luminance image is emphasized at the emphasis degree indicated in the reproduction parameter. |
