PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can improve the accuracy of estimation of toner consumption without being hindered by adjustment of parameters by a user.SOLUTION: An image forming part (70) forms an image on a sheet with a toner on the basis of image data. A reception part (511) receives an index value indicating the degree of adjustment to the density of the image. An adjustment part (611) controls the image forming part on the basis of the index value to adjust the density of the image. An estimation part (612) estimates the amount of a toner consumed when the image is formed from a gradation value of pixels indicated in the image data. At this time, the estimation part corrects the relationship between the gradation value and the toner consumption according to the index value. |
