INSULATING METAL FOIL BAND FOR a-Si SOLAR CELL SUBSTRATE AND ITS PRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an insulating metal foil band for a-Si solar cell substrate with a high yield. SOLUTION: The insulating metal foil band for a-Si solar cell substrate is an insulating substrate where a heat resistant organic coating is formed on one side of a metal foil band of 10-200μm thick, wherein the warpage height per 100 mm of the length of substrate is set at 1 mm or less. After one side of the metal foil band is coated with heat resistant organic paint by 10-200μm thick by means of a roll coater in a continuous painting facility, the metal foil band is fired to form an insulating coating. The metal foil band is taken up such that the diameter of a plate passing roll and a take-up reel is not smaller than 800 times of the thickness of foil.
