摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in which: conventional methods for measuring crosstalk between cores of a multicore fiber amplifier measure crosstalk between two different wavelengths although the wavelengths used for crosstalk measurement are close; the conventional methods actually measure crosstalk different from crosstalk between cores at one particular wavelength which an operator desires to use for measurement; and regarding a multimode optical fiber amplifier used in a multimode optical transmission system, it is expected to establish a method for evaluating crosstalk between modes in the same manner as crosstalk between cores of the multicore optical amplifier.SOLUTION: An optical fiber amplifier crosstalk measuring method of the present invention comprises an optical divider that divides a first mode signal light beam generated by one light source, and the signal light beams divided by the optical divider are modulated with different frequencies by an optical modulator. The plurality of signal light beams that have gone through modulation are converted into a mode different from the first mode and multiplexed and input into a multimode optical fiber amplifier. Output light beams from the amplifier are converted into electric signals by a photoelectric converter, and their spectra are detected.
