<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To tightly house radiation image recording carries in a radiation cassette and to permit smooth transfer-in and transfer-out processing of the radiation image recording carries. SOLUTION: The radiation cassette 10 has a casing 14 in which a stimulable phosphor sheet is housed, a cover 16 which is freely openably and closably mounted on a portion of the casing 14, a light shielding plate 18 which is disposed in the remaining segment of the casing 14 and is freely oscillatably provided with this cover 16 at one end 18a and a supporting mechanism 20 which thrusts and supports the stimulable phosphor sheet to an inside surface 14a of the casing when the stimulable phosphor sheet is irradiated with radiations and releases the thrusting action to the stimulable phosphor sheet when the stimulable phosphor sheet is transferred into and out of the casing 14.</p> |
