PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator that is able to efficiently generate power by applied external power.SOLUTION: A power generator 1 comprises: two magnetostrictive rods 2,2 composed of a magnetostrictive material and provided next to each other; a coil 3 wound around the outer periphery of each magnetostrictive rod 2, and a beam member 73 having the function of applying stress to the two magnetostrictive rods 2,2. When the two magnetostrictive rods 2,2 and the leading end of the beam member 73 are displaced with respect to its basal end, and the magnetostrictive rods 2,2 and the beam member 73 are deformed, elastic energy accumulated in the beam member 73 is greater than the elastic energy stored in the magnetostrictive rods 2,2. |
