PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair whose seat plate height is adjustable, in a manner that the chair is widely used by from an infant/child to an adult and that a footrest can be effectively utilized.SOLUTION: The chair includes: left and right side frames 8; a seat plate 6 which is supported by the side frames in a manner that a height is adjustable thereby; and an auxiliary plate 7. The auxiliary plate 7 is used as a footrest when the chair is used by an infant/child whose legs fail to reach the floor, and the auxiliary plate 7 is used as an article placing plate when the chair is used by an adult whose legs reach the floor. The auxiliary plate 7, in a state being used as the footrest, largely sticks out forward from front frame parts 9. By reversing the auxiliary plate 7 from a use mode as the footrest, it can be converted to the use mode as the article placing plate. As an adult can also use the chair, it is for example suitable as a dining chair and the auxiliary plate 7 can be effectively utilized as the article placing plate. |
