PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead transmission wire which is provided with a carbon fiber-made core wire and has a desirable fatigue strength.SOLUTION: An overhead transmission wire consists of a core wire part 11 consisting of a core wire 12 which is composed of an element wire 13 of aggregate of carbon fiber provided with a coating layer 14 composed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and an outer-layer element wire part 15 composed of an outer-layer element wire 16. The core wire 12 has a fatigue limit stress for the repeating number of 10times, in a rotation bending fatigue test, is 61.8 MPa or greater. |
