PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump hot water supply device capable of improving accuracy in determining failure of appliances in starting an operation, and implementing a defrosting operation when probability of frost formation on an evaporation heat exchanger exists in starting the operation.SOLUTION: A heat pump hot water supply device 1 includes a heat pump-type heat source machine 3 configured by connecting a compressor 21, a condensation heat exchanger 22, an expansion valve 23 and an evaporation heat exchanger 24 by refrigerant piping 25, and implements defrosting of the evaporation heat exchanger 24 when frost formation of the evaporation heat exchanger 24 is detected. The heat pump hot water supply device further includes a control unit 4 for executing a defrosting operation when a temperature of a refrigerant discharged from the compressor 21 or a temperature of hot water heated by the condensation heat exchanger 22 does not reach first set temperatures respectively determined for each of them or higher within a first set time from the start of the operation of the heat pump-type heat source machine 3. |
