PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that, when respective static eliminating parts of a plurality of image forming parts have functions of static elimination after transfer and static elimination before transfer, has components of the plurality of static eliminating parts in common as much as possible, and can prevent unnecessary power consumption in the image forming part located on the most downstream side in the direction of rotation of an intermediate transfer belt.SOLUTION: A plurality of static eliminating parts 46 each output first static eliminating light L1 and second static eliminating light L2 that are directed respectively to the upstream side and downstream side in the direction of rotation of a belt R1. A reflection part 48 reflects the second static eliminating light L2 from an image forming part located on the most downstream side in the direction of rotation of the belt R1 in a direction directed to the upstream side in the direction of rotation of the belt R1. |
