PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underbone type saddle riding vehicle capable of securing the volumetric capacity of an air cleaner and the volumetric capacity of a fuel tank without deteriorating the foot grounding property of an occupant.SOLUTION: A saddle riding vehicle comprises: an air cleaner 68 with the upper end 68T of the same situated above the lower end 64B of a fuel tank 64; a rear fender 70 arranged above a rear wheel 7 and having a second upper surface 72U which is projected upward from a first upper surface, and a second lower surface 72B which is concaved upward from a first lower surface situated on the back side of the first upper surface and is situated on the back side of the second upper surface 72U; and a battery 80 arranged behind the fuel tank 64 and on the second upper surface 72U. A surface 81A having the largest area in the battery 80 is opposed to the second upper surface 72U, a side longest in the battery 80 in the plane view is extended in a vehicle width direction, and the front end 80UF of an upper surface 80U of the battery 80 is situated below the rear end 80UR. |
