PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head capable of reducing wasteful liquid consumption in initial charging to or air bubble discharge from the liquid ejecting head.SOLUTION: A wall surface facing a wall surface on which an inflow port 23 of a common liquid chamber 24 is opened is formed of an elastic member 15 which can be deformed so as to be restorable to an original shape. The elastic member 15 can be deformed between a separate state where it is separated from, and a contact state where it comes in contact with, the wall surface on which the inflow port 23 of the common liquid chamber 24 is provided. The elastic member 15 is arranged in such a manner that on a downstream side in a longitudinal direction (nozzle array direction) of the common liquid chamber 24, the elastic member 15 does not come in contact with a part where an inflow port 23a of the most downstream side is provided, even when the elastic member 15 is deformed in the contact state coming in close contact with the wall surface on which the inflow port 23 of the common liquid chamber 24 is provided. The elastic member 15 can also be deformed until it becomes a state of closing the entire flow channel on the side of a supplying port portion 25 more upstream than an inflow port 23b on the most upstream side. |
